The aim of the action in the R.U. of Evia was the practical support of both the social work carried out by the teachers and the little everyday heroes of the seven (7) Special Education Schools:
Chalkida Special Kindergarten,
Special Elementary School of Chalkida,
Aliveri Special Primary School,
Special Elementary School of Neos Pyrgos
Special High School of Chalkida,
Workshop of Special Vocational Education and Training of Chalkida
Workshop of Special Vocational Education and Training in Kamaria Istiaea.
In addition, as regards the Special School of Agria in Magnesia, the goal was to renovate a wing of the school complex and also to donate state-of-the-art logistical equipment.
The target audience is the teachers and students of 7 educational structures for special education in Evia, as well as the Special School of Agria.
The support of the school units of Euboea R.U. took place in April 2021, while the support of the Special School of Agria, in September of the same year.
With its strong commitment to support society and the environment over time and guided by its vision to build a more humane and sustainable world, HERACLIS Group launched the multi-faceted Corporate Social Responsibility program "One more feat". It is committed to continue to create value for children, youth, socially vulnerable groups, society as a whole and to stand by them, in their every dream, to be with them in every endeavor.
Recognizing the special importance of education and defending children's equal access to knowledge, the HERACLIS Group made "One more feat for education" a reality by supporting the needs of the Special Schools of Euboea R.U. In particular, it proceeded to meet the immediate and essential needs of the Schools, with the aim of contributing to the upgrading of the educational process and ensuring the provision of the necessary supplies for all children to claim their dreams.
As regards the school units of Euboea R.U. proceeded with sponsorships of educational material, state-of-the-art electronic equipment, training equipment and consumables, as well as upgrading infrastructure. In this way, the HERACLES Group "builds" on solid foundations a better tomorrow for the children who are already attending the Schools and also for those who will attend in the future.
The renovation of the Special School of Agria is an initiative that is part of the Corporate Social Responsibility program "One more feat" and comes to be added to a set of support actions for the Special School of Agria, confirming that the strengthening of vulnerable social groups, especially children and young people, is a non-negotiable priority of the Group. The works at the Special School of Agria included the upgrading of the infrastructure of the Special School, as well as the donation of state-of-the-art logistical equipment, with the aim of facilitating the daily life of students and teachers.
As a result of the actions, the infrastructure of the 7 special education units in Euboea R.U. was upgraded and 1 educational unit in Magnesia as well as the acquisition of educational material, state-of-the-art electronic equipment and training equipment and consumables, both for the children who are already studying and for those who will study in the future. The creation of sustainable school units contributes to upgrading the educational process and ensuring the provision of the necessary supplies for all children to claim their dreams.
The action was implemented in the regions of Euboea R.U. as well as Agria Magnesia.
The HERAKLIS Group carried out the upgrading of the level of the school units in Euboea in cooperation with the School Committee of Primary and Secondary Education of the Municipality of Chalkida, the School Committee of Primary Education of the Municipality of Kymi-Aliveri, the School Committee of Primary and Secondary Education of the Municipality of Istiaea-Edipsos . Regarding the Special School of Agria, there was cooperation with the local community of Agria as well as the School Committee that manages the specific school unit.
The perfect cooperation between the Group, the School Committees of Euboea R.U. but also of the local community of Agria and the corresponding School Committee led to the successful completion of the specific actions.
The implementation of the actions was carried out with the contribution of employees and executives of the HERACLIS Group.
Through this specific action, the principles that the Group stands for, through a multifaceted Corporate Social Responsibility program, were further highlighted.
The CSR program started on the occasion of the anniversary of the 110 years of operation and aims to strengthen the social fabric and help in every effort that improves the lives of our fellow human beings, especially children and young people. In this way, the program "One more feat for education" was launched, supporting the children who attend all the Special Schools of Euboea and the children with learning, motor and sensory difficulties who attend the Special School of Agria, thus contributing to the progress and the development of their skills.
