INTERAMERICAN and PHILIPS HELLAS collaboration with donation of 5 portable ultrasound scanners to the Ministry of Health
We have collaborated with PHILIPS HELLAS, in the context of our shared understanding of supporting public health during the period of the health crisis, not only for the systems delivered, but also for the prospect of further strengthening the NHS, with an emphasis on prevention and remote incident management through symptom investigation.
The five PHILIPS Lumify portable ultrasound scanner systems with corresponding tablets, offered by the companies - three systems by INTERAMERICAN and two by PHILIPS Hellas - will be used for cardiological and pulmonological examination, due to the need to assess cases regarding their admission to the ER. Th.. However, the useful value over time of ultrasounds for the diagnostic evaluation of cases regardless of Covid-19 is highlighted.
Lumify is the only portable ultrasound with the capability of telemedicine through the "Reacts" application, i.e. the transmission of an ultrasound image in real time to a remote user. In addition, it provides 2D imaging, M-Mode, Color Doppler (CFM), 10-second CineLoop storage in two-dimensional black and white and color images, high-definition Read/Write Zoom, image storage within the tablet device, and more. The latest generation systems are guaranteed for 5 years by PHILIPS and are characterized by ease of installation and use.
Delivery of beds to the Ministry of Health
We delivered seven special beds for Intensive Care Units to the Ministry of Health after prior consultation with the Ministry. The beds are of advanced technology, ensuring with their digital connectivity the continuous remote monitoring of the hospitalized person and the utilization of a large amount of information about their clinical condition and behavior.
The Accela Therapy systems, which we delivered with the supplier-importer Meditime, are characterized by the innovative electronic "armament" of the Hillrom smart beds, which makes the data more meaningful and actionable. Beds are digitally connected in a way that helps improve monitoring, safety and patient satisfaction, leading to a better care outcome for them. The quality is complemented by the sophisticated, special air mattress.
Through the bed's wireless connectivity, accurate and secure recording is provided, with real-time monitoring of the patient's critical data. For example, compliance with respiratory and other protocols, the display of the patient's weight, the functional progress of the treatment provided, the need for immediate assistance, the adjustment of the height and inclination of the bed surface are monitored remotely, while safety elements such as the brakes, side rails and bed exit alarms status.
The delivered equipment systems are part of our overall contribution to National Health System of Greece., which is complemented by its financial assistance with individual initiatives of this Pillar for public health such as the financial support of the Kastoria General Hospital, which is also a Reference Hospital as well as the financial support of the Ministry of Health through the Union of Insurance Companies.
We also collaborated with Autohellas-Hertz to provide vehicles to Municipalities to support the "Help at Home" program (disposal of 10 vehicles and insurance)
Another pillar of our actions was supporting the health needs of local communities and for this we collaborated with the Municipality of Athens. The Municipality, with six municipal clinics and social structures, expands the public system for primary health services, assuming a significant burden for the relevant service of citizens in the capital region.
Recognizing the contribution of the services of the Municipality of Athens to the management of the emergency health conditions of the moment, we offered sanitary material and equipment for the operation of the municipal clinics. At the same time, we financially supported the renovation of the social pharmacy and clinic, which will be housed in the building complex of the Reception and Solidarity Center of the Municipality of Athens (KYADA, Piraeus 35).
We also supported the Doctors of the World who provide medical services at the Multipurpose Homeless Center of the Municipality of Athens at the junction of Acharna and Liosion streets.
In the framework of the collaborations, the Ministry of Education could not be missing. In particular, we provided 1,500 tablets free of charge through our corporate brand Anytime to school units, which will be the property of the schools even after the end of distance education. The specific equipment will be distributed to public schools in the prefectures of the country, with the greatest needs, in order to improve distance education, but also to strengthen the digital skills of students over time.
In this way, the effort made by teachers and students every day is supported, so that the learning process is served efficiently and safely, while at the same time familiarizing students with the digital way and online teaching. This specific donation will also contribute to maintaining close contact of students with the learning process, their teachers and classmates, deepening the curriculum and making constructive use of their time at home for the benefit of their education. Anytime supports online processes from the very beginning, knowing full well that the challenges today are greater for children who have limited access to technology.
