Auteco aims to the most secure operation of a vehicle so that in the event that an additional inspection is required, this will be free of charge for the owner of the vehicle.

J&P Avax group, by founding in 2007 Auteco, changed the status in the field of vehicle inspection, offering innovative services. Auteco ranks arguably as one of the best companies in its field worldwide, offering since 2007, the largest and outstanding three Vehicle Inspection Stations. Auteco signifies the future in terms of vehicle testing, setting new standards, promoting values in road safety, environmental protection and conservation conditions by the proper use and operation of the vehicle.
The absolute support and dissemination of the importance of the technical inspection centres ordinance is the main concern of the management and personnel of the company. The philosophy and objective of the company is to perform reliable measurements for all vehicles’ systems at a high level of service, hassle free, easy and affordable for the owners. Auteco goes beyond the narrow standards of mandatory vehicle inspection, providing new services and allowing users the opportunity to control their vehicles at any time, in order to ensure and certify their correct, safe, economical and environmentally friendly operation. In Auteco, vehicle’s inspection is a pleasurable process for the motorist while, at the same time, is a necessary action to ensure the safety of himself and his fellow passengers. For that reason, the PVTIC (IKTEO) Auteco applies unquestionable procedures and strict internal controls. The card issued is equivalent to the one provided by the state. The five automatic lines of inspection for each station are operated by qualified and certified technical staff ensuring that the vehicles inspected are absolutely safe.
A) Since the first Auteco station was launched in 2007 to date, in total over 850,000 vehicle technical inspections were performed. Of these, about 35,000 vehicles were rejected during the inspection process having serious deficiencies related to: excessive emissions, unsuitable tires, brakes, steering, damages - body distortion etc. The owners made necessary repairs, so that the vehicles will be allowed back on circulation within the safety regulations framework provided by the Greek and European legislation.
B) In collaboration with universities and researchers, Auteco conducts specific surveys and analysis of audit results, in order to extract data that can be used for training of the drivers and the adaptation / modification of Inspection program for the benefit of the society. The program is still ongoing. In collaboration with the Mechanical departments of the country’s TEIs, Auteco participates in the training of mechanics and inspectors of other KTEO. Over 1,000 students have visited the facilities of Auteco, where they were informed and attended the inspection procedures and participated in educational seminars.
C) Participation in research programs for the development of the technology for alternative energy sources for the vehicles of the NTUA, AUTH, TEI Piraeus, etc. Auteco was involved in vehicle manufacturing activities for the development of electrical and solar energy driven vehicles.
D) Hosted and organized the ECO RALLY. This was the first competition in Greece of driving conventional vehicles, aiming to promote the ecological and economical driving for the everyday private vehicle users. A total of 30 crews participated in driving 250km race with minimum fuel.
E) Support of the historic car rally Acropolis with technical inspections of the racing vehicles and support to the crew.
F) Offer grants to Universities, sports teams and charities such as Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, PAOK, local sports clubs, enhancing athletic ideals while promoting vehicle inspection value for a safer environment. Part of the revenue is donated to charitable institutions, such as, "Ark of the World" for needy children and mothers, and "Affection" for children with cancer. Participate in activities of the NGO "Make-A-Wish" to collect funds for children with hazardous health conditions.
Athens - Piraeus - Thessaloniki covering 60% of the country's vehicles fleet.
Ministry of Transport - National Metsovio Polytechnic by participating in the technical research and the development of electrical vehicles - Aristoteleio University of Thessaloniki, with sponsorship of the research program in fuel saving methods - Technical Institution (TEI) of Piraeus with participation to the practical training of young inspectors of other IKTEO – Technical vocational schools by participation in training seminars for the students.
