Founded in 1998, HELLENiQ ENERGY (https://www.helleniqenergy.gr/en) is one of the leading energy groups in South East Europe, with presence in 6 countries and activities spanning across the energy value chain, namely: oil refining and fuel marketing, exploration and production, renewable energy sources, petrochemicals, power and gas.
At HELLENIC PETROLEUM Group of Companies, we implement a series of coordinated and targeted actions by which we support and invest in the young generation, i.e. those youngsters who excelled during their academic career through their own personal efforts.
Young Graduates Employment Program is one of these actions, which was implemented for the first time in January 2014.
The Young Graduates Employment Program was designed to provide young Greek candidates who have distinguished themselves during their academic career (students or graduates, from Hellenic or International Educational Institutions), with the opportunity to gain knowledge and working experience. This is an action which, through a meritocratic process, creates and offers opportunities for professional and personal development by rewarding excellence and high academic performance.
The ultimate goal of this program, is to boost employment, which contributes substantially to the economic and social development of the country, in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and specifically with Goal 4 for quality education and opportunities for lifelong learning and Goal 8 for lasting, sustainable and inclusive economic development as well as full and productive employment and decent work for all.
The program’s target audience is, Greek students from Hellenic or International Educational Institutions :
1st cycle of Program Implementation 2014 - 2015.
2nd cycle of Program Implementation 2016 - 2017.
Hellenic Petroleum Group of Companies understands the Greek reality and acknowledges the fact that economic crisis and job insecurity lead young Greek graduates to move abroad, in search for work. In order to stop the Greek “Brain Drain”, HELPE designed the Young Graduates Employment Program. Through this Program, HELPE is aiming to attract young dynamic and ambitious people that are willing to empower their knowledge and acquire working experience in the various organizational structures of the Group companies through real working conditions. Young Greeks do not actively participate in the domestic labor market; instead they are seeking better job prospects abroad or even prefer to prolong their educational process.
The program’s implementation started on January of 2014, by offering employment to fifteen (15) young graduates of Mechanical, Chemical and Electrical Engineering, as well as graduates of Economical Sciences, specializing in the fields of Finance and Marketing.
