With the motto "Live Life Well", the program is structured in 4 key categories:
- Balance between work and personal life
- My nutrition
- My physical and mental well-being
- Caring for my health
Each category includes individual actions that change to adapt to the year’s season (winter/summer) and also change on a regular basis, so that there is always something new and different to motivate employees. More specifically:
1. Balance between work and personal life
No dress code: At Coca-Cola there is no dress code and choosing the right clothes for the right place or occasion (such as a business meeting) is up to each employee, according to his or her personality, taste and lifestyle.
- Summer working hours: From June to August, i.e. during the summer months, working hours on Fridays change from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. This offers to employees the opportunity to benefit from these extra free hours and spend more time with their loved ones.
- Flexible working hours: Depending on each employee’s needs and personal schedule, the Company offers the option of flexible working hours, always in arrangement with each employee’s peers and manager. More specifically, each employee can choose to work either from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm or from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm. The option of following summer working hours on Fridays (9:00 am to 2:00 pm) still applies during the summer months.
- Flexible working hours for mothers: Following an arrangement between the employee and the Company, mothers have the option to swap their daily hours off work due to maternity for one whole day off.
- Preschool daily care allowance: The Company offers an annual allowance of €1,800 per child for preschool daily care.
- Working from home: Every employee who has already been with Coca-Cola for at least one year is allowed to work from home one day every week, always depending on the requirements of his/her position and following an arrangement with his/her manager.
2. My nutrition
Nutritional advice: Coca-Cola offers to its employees and their families access to nutritional counselling services at their workplace, offered by specialized nutritionists. These services involve an assessment of their nutritional profile, body fat and BMI measurements, meal plans, weight monitoring etc. Twice a month, employees can book a personal appointment with the specialized counsellor, in an area that has been specifically set up for that purpose within the Company premises.
Restaurant: The Company provides a dedicated food area that has been specifically set up for that purpose within its premises. The menu offered is overseen by a team of nutritionists and a diet menu is also available as an option.
Snack corners: For those who have no time to enjoy a full breakfast at home or want a light snack in the afternoon, there are special areas offering fresh fruit and juice, rusks, crackers, honey, jam and light butter.
3. My physical and mental well-being
Massage sessions: The Company offers to each employee a 20-minute massage session once per month, for those parts of the body that are more heavily stressed by office work, such as the neck, head, wrists and back. Sessions take place at the Company’s medical office every Thursday, between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm, and are provided by specialized professionals.
Physical activity allowance: Coca-Cola offers an annual allowance of €350 to each employee towards expenses for their own physical activity, including gym subscriptions, sporting activities such as trekking, hiking, tennis lessons, personal training services and so on.
4. Caring for my health
Medical support: The premises of The Coca-Cola Company include a special area where the company doctor sees employees twice per month, for providing advice on any medical issues that may concern them.
Annual Check-Up: In partnership with medical centers, Coca-Cola offers comprehensive medical check-ups to its employees.
Enhanced ergonomics: Coca-Cola has secured ergonomic office chairs for its employees and computer monitors that are height-adjustable to perfectly suit each employee.
