Benefits for Οrganization

This is an initiative with highly reputable companions, which paves the way for a better tomorrow. It is proof that for Lidl Hellas sustainable development is inextricably linked to responsible entrepreneurship. And at the same time it is a source of inspiration and a force for development for our company. Much more with this action, that we all face a series of great challenges. We live in an age of decisive change and subversive evolution. We use tools and practices that change our daily lives in no time.

The "SUP Free Hackathon" Innovation Marathon is just that. The perception of collective effort at all levels. We bring in the same environment every business, every researcher, young scientist, student, who is looking and is looking for the best tomorrow.

We stand together, against disposable plastics. We are making a difficult start, collaboratively and collectively. To learn not only to live without them, but also how we can achieve it. Especially in terms of the global need to reduce the use of plastic. To become more prudent in its production. More responsible in its use. More inventive in its management.

At Lidl Hellas we recognized early on the need to adopt a more responsible way of operation, action and consumption regarding plastic items. We are the first company in our industry in Greece that permanently withdrew disposable plastics from its stores on 31.12.2019. And we committed until 2025 for 20% less plastic and for 100% of the packaging of private label products to be maximally recyclable. These measures are part of REset Plastic, our international strategy for plastics, launched in 2018 by the Schwarz Group with our vision "Less plastic - Closed Circles of raw materials".
