Employee volunteering

The corporate responsibility we demonstrate at HYGEIA includes an important part linked to the voluntary contribution of employees. The volunteerism of HYGEIA's people stems from the corporate culture and the values we advocate. Description

In particular, in 2019 the following actions were carried out:

We support the Children who have the FLAME in them

The Group has for several years embraced the Association of Parents of Children with Neoplastic Disease FLOGA, offering health services, financial support and above all love. In recent years, the children of FLOGAS have been provided with free radiation, surgeries, g-knife treatments and high definition diagnostic tests at HYGEIA.

Near the "Workshop"

The support to the Association of Parents, Guardians and Friends of Persons with Special Needs "To Ergastiri" continued, offering medical care and free surgeries to people cared for and hosted by the association. Specifically, HYGEIA undertook to operate free of charge on three people, who are supported by the association's structures. Also, HYGEIA continued the collaboration with "To Ergastiri" for the supply of baked goods made by the young people employed by the association and available in public areas of the Hospital.

International Organization for Migration

Aiming at the best interests of unaccompanied minors, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and HYGEIA have created a cooperation network under which specialized medical examinations are carried out and provided to the minor immigrant population residing in hostels in Athens. It is a set of high-cost specialized tests that are carried out in addition to the services provided to unaccompanied minors by the National Health System.

In addition, services such as DNA testing significantly contribute to the acceleration and completion of pending family reunification cases, thus ensuring the best interests of the child.

Greece Race for the Cure®

For one more year, the employees gave their energy to "attend" the 5 km road race. and walk 2 km. for breast cancer, organized by the Panhellenic Association of Women with Breast Cancer Leap of Life in Athens. Volunteer workers of the HYGEIA clinics, MITERA, LITO, as well as Y-LOGIMED company were at the starting point of the event in Zappeion, participating in the fulfillment of the purpose, which was to inform about the practices of prevention and early diagnosis of the disease.
