The Adolescents Community Center Intervention is an immediate access service aimed at responding to the new needs created by the combination of the socio-economic crisis and the spread of substance use among the young population of Attica. It is addressed to teenagers and young people in Athens facing social exclusion, delinquency, personal deadlocks, substance use or abuse and is a teen-friendly service.
Depending on the objectives, its services are developed in 5 levels of intervention:
Person: Counseling, (individual, group) crisis intervention, mobilization (at the Center, in schools, or in the courts), evaluation, referral.
Family: Information, counseling (individual, group), crisis intervention, referral, short-term intervention, Parents' School.
School: Information, teacher training, crisis intervention, operation of counseling stations, networking with schools, OAED
Community: Community information interventions, parent information, professional training, networking with community organizations and businesses, associations of residents and immigrants, NGOs, shops, church, police.
