Our company's contribution to environmental protection by reducing our environmental footprint, recording actions, procedures, but also new green goals for improvement in this direction.

Description
We created a new environmental plan called FLAX GO GREEN 2030. In it we record our actions, to what extent we wish to develop them, as well as new medium-term actions that will help reduce our environmental footprint. In short, some of our actions concern us:
- ISO 14001 certification alongside ISO 9001
- Cooperation and support of the NGO All For Blue for the protection of coasts & seas both financially and with action days in the field
- Cooperation with the NGO IOAS Panos Mylonas related to road safety
- Measurement and continuous goal to reduce energy consumption in the company's premises with various actions (e.g. insulation of premises, intelligent operation of machines, LED lamps, utilization of natural lighting, etc.)
- Reducing the consumption of consumables as much as possible (e.g. sending invoices electronically, reusing scrap paper, digitized brochures, etc.)
- procurement planning according to our real needs with the aim of less waste of raw materials
- Participation in EEAA, EOAN, recycling of consumables, batteries in collaboration with AFIS, car oils, etc.
- Informing and training employees for greater awareness and contribution to the protection of the environment, both individually and corporately.
- Smart commuting and business trips to reduce our fuel consumption and pollution to the environment.

Impact on Society
This action of ours results in the continuous reduction of our environmental footprint and the awareness of all involved towards the environment. Below are some examples with numbers:
- 6% reduction in the volume of packaging materials used
- 33% reduction in A4 paper usage
- 5% reduction in energy consumption

Working with Organization
In the context of Social and Corporate Responsibility, we have been collaborating in recent years with All For Bule and the "Panos Mylonas" Road Safety Institute, supporting their work and actions. More specifically:
- All For Blue is an environmental MKO with international actions of an educational nature, and not only that. Its purpose is to protect the marine ecosystem and inform about single-use plastics and ways to avoid them. Annually it implements educational programs for environmental awareness, experiential actions in coastal areas and circular economy actions that utilize plastic waste by turning it into waste collection bins
- IOAS Panos Mylonas is an NGO that supports and promotes activities that promote road safety, traffic education and information, aiming par excellence to prevent and reduce traffic accidents. It collaborates with public bodies & academic institutions by organizing educational programs and actions at a nationwide & international level.

- All For Blue through our participation in the cleaning of the coastal area of eastern Attica, the organization of an educational seminar for all of our employees and the donation of part of the revenues of our online store, with the aim of informing and raising awareness of society as a whole.
- IOAS Panos Mylonas through participation in actions such as the Global Night without Accidents, offering free products aimed at rewarding those who follow road safety rules.
- At the same time, our company provides free hand sanitizers to the participants of the actions of the above NGOs, with the aim of protecting public health from covid19.
