QUALCO has entered into a 5-year collaboration with EKEFE Dimokritos, to support research and development (R&D) projects, which include Doctoral and Postdoctoral research, Scientific Projects, Innovative Workshops, Student Internship and Competitions.
In this context, EKEFE Dimokritos and QUALCO "joined forces", with the aim of developing an extremely dynamic program, which creates new opportunities for talented researchers and the utilization of highly qualified human resources, with positive effects for employment and salaries. This is the NCSR D – Qualco Fellowship program, launched in 2021, enabling young researchers to realize their ideas and lead an ambitious scientific project, delving into the field of Fintech through cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence ( AI) and Data Analysis (Big Data Analytics). By supporting the efforts of the young scientists of EKEFE Dimokritos, who aim at pioneering research and development, we attempt to contribute to the promotion of innovative IT solutions, which will effectively respond to the current global business challenges in the field of Fintech, contributing at the same time to the digital transformation of the country. Through this action, our goal is to establish a development model that harmoniously combines growth and economic performance with individual progress, social well-being and digital pioneering. This perspective gives a new dynamic, so that the human resources of our country, and especially the young people, not only manage to adapt to the great challenges before us, but become an accelerator and catalyst of new ways of thinking and acting that will constitute the value underpinning a more inclusive recovery that benefits everyone.
In detail, our collaboration with the National Center for Scientific Research "DIMOKRITOS" aims to exchange knowledge, information and experience in areas of common interest such as:

Sector 1:
Leveraging Big Data in Fintech Analysis
The abundance of information available for Fintech analysis, both at the level of Data Bases and Data Warehouses, as well as in XML/HTML documents and free text, becomes difficult to gather, classify and utilize effectively. In this area, research revolves around methods that locate, extract and organize information of different structures and from different sources, with the aim of exploiting it in the field of Fintech.
Suggested topics for Doctoral / Postdoctoral Research:
Text analytics in blended semi-structured and structured (big) data for (dynamic) predictive modeling
Natural Language Processing (NLP) and text mining, to identify opportunities and risks
Sector 2:
Utilization of Natural Language processing as a source of information in the field of Fintech
Each person in his expression produces a multitude of involuntary signals that can be exploited in various areas, such as in Customer Support, Sales, Human Resources, Negotiations, etc. In this area, research revolves around methods using Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and related disciplines, with the aim of harnessing these direct and indirect linguistic signals in order to support Fintech products and services.
