QUALCO GROUP

Qualco Group is a leader in designing and delivering technology solutions and tech-driven services, aiming to optimise individuals and businesses’ finances and operations while delivering true value to the real economy and society.

Objective Action

Our goal was to create a fully balanced workplace that supports employees, wherever they are. To encourage better team communication and collaboration, maintaining the benefits of remote work and optimizing the use and operation of the space.

In addition, to create a working environment, which will be a destination for the employee. A collaborative and social hub, inspired by the hospitality industry, which at the same time will offer spaces that promote "quiet work". A visually attractive space, which will incorporate the environmental and social beliefs of the Qualco group.

Our new workspaces were designed to cover:

  • The need for greater physical distance between employees (smaller open spaces, but also more space (sq.m. per employee) and
  • Ensuring Hygiene (implementation of a natural air system, provision of abundant natural lighting, green element inside the offices, installation of noise reduction elements, access to outdoor areas, special medical area).

Description

The pandemic seems to have irrevocably changed the way we perceive and deal with work worldwide. Each of us has the ability to work from wherever we are, as long as we have the appropriate technological tools and the necessary infrastructure at our disposal.

Yet offices are still the heart and soul of a business, reflecting its identity and culture; the place where we interact face-to-face, solve problems together, producing social capital with collective knowledge, ideas, innovation and resilience.

Assessing the new reality and the needs that have arisen in the wake of the pandemic, Qualco Group adopted a new hybrid work model, and designed the "office of the future" in today.

At the center of the design we placed:

• Wellbeing, the well-being and prosperity of our people.

• Technology, which transformed the working reality, allowing us to work seamlessly wherever we are, through access to new technological tools.

• our environmental concerns; With the pandemic having highlighted more than ever how vulnerable we are in relation to the global ecosystem, we believe that our offices should reflect our Environmental, Social and Corporate Culture.

Specifically: We've moved to create fewer fixed workstations, as people will use desks around their telecommuting schedule rather than as a purely personal space.

  • We have implemented a desk booking system, through which employees will declare their working days with a physical presence in the office and will proceed to reserve the space in which they will work for the given period of time, through the application.
  • We have created welcoming and comfortable spaces, smaller meeting rooms for small collaborative groups with video conferencing systems, conference rooms (for 2+ people), collaboration spaces (flexible and easily configurable furniture that offers space for informal collaboration in the workplace).
  • We designed smart storage spaces (closets for personal items, open shelves, movable partitions and softer furniture arrangements).
  • We incorporated nature into the interiors (natural materials, indoor plants), while at the same time, aiming to highlight our contact with culture, we decorated our offices with works of art.
  • We operate a restaurant, with healthy food options, within the group's premises, promoting a healthy lifestyle and offering everyone the opportunity to adopt balanced eating habits.
  • We have already set up an exclusive clinic area, which we staffed with a specialized nurse. In an era characterized by constant insecurity about our health, we have considered it our primary obligation to protect our people and cover any concern they may have. Anyone who feels unwell, wants to ask something or undergo a rapid test can contact the clinic.

Based on people and their needs, we designed additional spaces that promote their well-being and well-being, both outside and inside the work environment.

We turned to the utilization of our outdoor spaces. We firmly believe that, with the proper configuration, they will give everyone the opportunity to make the most of them, either by taking a pleasant break during the day, or to work in a different environment and schedule a meeting.
We utilized the additional indoor spaces for the benefit of the employees, creating wellness areas, properly equipped with:

A gym area, equipped with modern fitness equipment, which, under the guidance of properly trained gymnasts, will give everyone the opportunity to dedicate some time from their daily life to their physical health, participating in pilates, yoga, circuit training, etc. .

A place of recovery, which comes to offer a breath of decongestion and relaxation to our people. Long hours of sedentary work and incorrect body posture create musculoskeletal problems, which accumulate over time.

Finally, the trio of well-being could not be missing an area of aesthetic care and beautification. A space aimed at both our female and male employees, giving them the opportunity to boost their mood.

Finally, with the aim of facilitating the daily life of the employees, who are new parents, we are creating a special area for the daily accommodation of their children. Being staffed with experienced teachers, this space will provide a safe environment for preschool children (12 months - 4 years) in cases of emergency
