Founded in 1841, the National Bank of Greece was the first bank of the modern Greek state. Since then, it has contributed decisively to the country's economic activity with a dynamic contribution to the support of the economy and its developmental and social transformation.
It continuously offers a wide range of financial products and services that meet the ever-changing needs of businesses and individuals.

The projects are related to the immediate response and limitation of soil erosion to protect the fire-affected area from further degradation, given that the specific fire-affected area corresponds to 114 thousand acres, i.e. 15% of the total area of Chios island. To date, the works include the construction of over 180 kilometers and 500 square meters of protection barriers. The project is being carried out by forestry cooperative organizations, with the participation of 50 forest workers, under the supervision of a special forester and the coordination of the Chios Forestry Department.
