Objective Action

Caudalie's goal is the continuous and practical protection of the environment, with respect for consumers and the planet, by offering the most effective and high-quality formulas. Caudalie's philosophy is of a non-waste logic when using the precious goods that nature offers, aiming to utilize small treasures, such as grape seeds and  their rich antioxidant functions. Thus, it creates sustainable products from natural active ingredients with recyclable/recycled/reusable packaging, with the aim of having zero footprint on the planet but also inspire other brands to follow similar practices. "We aim to make Caudalie the most effective clean natural cosmetic brand, as well as the most eco-friendly beauty brand," says Mathilde Thomas, co-founder of Caudalie, summing up the vision of the French skincare brand.

Target Audience

Caudalie's target audience is quite broad, just like its product mix, which covers needs for every age, every skin type, for women or men. There are ranges, such as Resveratrol & Premier Cru, aiming at a more mature skin audience due to the strong anti-aging effect, but also ranges aimed at everyone, such as the eco cleansing range Vinoclean and the moisturizing range Vinosource. Of course, the mix & match of products and ranges is essential for a complete skincare routine.

Description

"I consider essential and vegetable oils to be the purest, most precious and most natural source of beauty. They have been used in our Vinothérapie Spa since 1999. Caudalie is experienced in the extraction of skin care oils extracted from fruits, flowers or leaves" Mathilde Thomas explains. This philosophy is put into practice as most products contain over 95% ingredients of natural origin. There is a large field of research into the traceability of raw materials, so that even natural ingredients that are controversial process-wise, are avoided at all costs. All products are vegan, apart from those containing beeswax and honey. Caudalie is opposed to animal testing and works alongside the IIVS organization to promote alternative methods.
