Athens International Airport (AIA) is Greece's largest aviation hub, renowned for its high productivity, robust profitability, and resilience over its 28-year history. Strategically located in Attica, Greece's economic center, AIA capitalizes on the travel demands of international visitors and Greek passengers, benefiting from a thriving tourism sector and favorable macroeconomic conditions.
In 2023, AIA served over 28 million passengers, exceeding pre-COVID-19 levels and outperforming many European airports. A significant milestone was achieved in February 2024 with AIA's listing on the Main Market of the Regulated Securities Market of the Athens Exchange, a long-standing goal for its shareholders as per the Airport Development Agreement (ADA).

AIA’s reporting approach provides stakeholders, shareholders and investors with structured, comparable and increasingly assured information on the Company’s economic, environmental, social and governance performance. The FY2025 Sustainability Statement represents AIA’s second consecutive reporting cycle under the ESRS framework and incorporates the results of an enhanced Double Materiality Assessment, together with disclosures under the EU Taxonomy Regulation. The Sustainability Statement has also been subject to independent limited assurance, further supporting the reliability of the information disclosed. AIA’s sustainability performance is additionally subject to external assessment through recognised ESG methodologies, including FTSE Russell and S&P Global. Following the resubmission of its FY2025 data, AIA recorded a 9-point increase in its S&P Global ESG Score, providing an externally assessed indication of progress in the quality and breadth of its ESG disclosures and management practices. Through the combination of regulated sustainability reporting, recognised international frameworks, independent assurance and external ESG assessments, AIA provides stakeholders and capital-market participants with more transparent, comparable and decision-useful information, while strengthening the continuous improvement of its sustainability reporting practices.
