The human resources of our company are the driving force of the business and the most important parameter for its development and evolution. "M.J. MAILLIS SINGLE MEMBER S.A." considers it of the utmost importance that working relationships are governed by a spirit of teamwork and solidarity, as well as that they are based on mutual trust, honesty, and respect.
Based on the above and considering the requirements of Greek Law 4808/2021, our company drafted and published its Policy for combating violence and harassment in the workplace and created the procedure for managing anonymous or named internal complaints.
With the Violence and Harassment Policy our company makes it clear that any form of violent, intimidating, or offensive behavior is impermissible and will not be tolerated, regardless of position or rank in the company hierarchy. It also undertook to receive, investigate, and manage any complaint or related report and to provide assistance and access to any competent public, administrative or judicial authority in the investigation of any incident of violence and harassment, subject to the written consent of the complainant.
According to the company's internal complaints management system:
1) Complaints Policy Officers authorized by the company's Management to receive and investigate any complaint or related report have been appointed and notified employees.
2) Special forms have been prepared which help the complainant to describe the incident and file his complaint in writing.
3) The company provides the possibility for the complainant to communicate with a specialist scientist, an external partner for support and guidance.
4) The incident management procedure provides for the establishment of an evaluation team which will be responsible for the decision-making process to impose measures against the respondent.
5) The company has adopted the required technical and organizational measures for the protection of Personal Data (PID) and has ensured classified access to them only by "Complaints Policy Officers".
The Policy and the claims procedure were finalized and validated after consultation with the company's representative trade union.
The company has implemented staff training aimed at informing and raising awareness about violence, discrimination, and sexual harassment in the workplace, as well as their recognition, prevention and management (Law 4808/2021).
In addition, in July 2022 the company carried out a Study on the Assessment of Psychosocial Risks at Work in collaboration with the company "ERGONOMIA SA". The methodology of qualitative research was used and included conducting a semi-structured interview with company executives, holding a "focus group" and reviewing statistics, policies, and procedures of the company.
