STARTAB Entrepreneurship Programme

STARTAB Entrepreneurship Programme is delivered by Corallia with the support of Prince’s Trust International and it is offered free of charge to young people aged 18-35.
Participants have the opportunity to develop a business idea through a specialized Workshop and then attend a 4-day interactive and free Entrepreneurship Course, where through workshops they explore the practical side of starting and running a business and decide if self-employment is right for them.
The STARTAB Entrepreneurship Programme promotes and aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, especially those related to quality education, decent work, economic development, gender equality, and synergy for the goals. It aspires to be a roadmap for the modern way of practicing entrepreneurship.
STARTAB supports young people aged 18-35 interested in starting their own businesses.
The Programme started in 2018 and continues its activities until today.
Participants have the opportunity to discover market trends and develop a business idea through a specialized all-day Seminar and then attend a 4-day interactive Entrepreneurship Seminar, where through educational workshops they explore the practical side of starting and running a business. After the 4-day Entrepreneurship Seminar, participants have the opportunity to present their business ideas to a group of mentors of the Programme and receive immediate advice on the maturity of their idea and their transition to the next stage. Then, participants who wish to receive consulting guidance for up to 12 months to mature their business plan while developing, designing, and testing their business idea. Those who are ready to start their business can present their business plan to the Business Start-up Team, a group of business consultants who evaluate the viability of their business plan. Finally, participants who reach this stage and establish their businesses have the opportunity to receive business guidance for another 12 months to ensure the viability and financial independence of their businesses. Those participants who do not continue with the development of a business idea have the opportunity to attend workshops aimed at developing their professional careers and integrating into the workplace.
Since the beginning of the Programme, 65 cycles of entrepreneurship seminars have been completed with 99% of participants rating positively the support they received. The Programme has helped more than 1250 young people explore entrepreneurship, while more than 470 young people have received mentoring from the 100 mentors of the Programme.
The Programme is addressed to young people from all over Greece (except Crete and the Dodecanese Islands).
The STARTAB Entrepreneurship Programme is implemented by Corallia (www.corallia.org) with the support of The King's Trust International (https://kingstrustinternational.org/). The Programme is under the auspices of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and for the implementation of its actions is supported by Greek Universities, Colleges, and other Organizations (startab.gr/about/).
For the implementation of the STARTAB Entrepreneurship Programme, 11 experienced executives of Corallia are employed and there are more than 120 volunteer mentors and trainers.

Corallia is a unit of the Athena Research Center and is a non-profit legal entity that performs public benefit development purposes.
