Since 2003, the Municipal Enterprise has been active in the fields of tourism, culture, sports, social welfare (until 2011) and contributes through its activities to local and social development, implementing and supporting relevant actions.
- Enhancing literacy.

- Development of the researcher's culture in students,
- Opportunity for children from the periphery to have equal access to innovative education with children from large urban centers.
- Getting used to new ways of approaching knowledge.

Primary School Children
8 months of a school year
"Children's University" is a series of innovative educational presentations and workshops for students of Primary Education by university-level lecturers on various subjects of science and art to acquire knowledge and highlight special skills of students and enhance literacy. It includes a cycle of scientific presentations and workshops appropriately adapted to the age level of the participants without, however, altering their scientific dimension.
2014-2015: 212 children with participation in four (4) thematic units.
• 2015-2016: 229 children with participation in four (4) thematic units.
• 2016-2017: 500 children with participation in eight (8) thematic units.
• 2017-2018: 958 children with participation in eight (8) thematic sections, one (1) cultural excursion to the studios of ERT3 in Thessaloniki.
• 2018-2019: 1026 children with participation in seven (7) thematic sections and one (1) photography workshop.
Points of education and culture, outdoor activities (museums, cultural centers, environmental paths)
The operation of the "Children's University" is supported, without financial support, by the Directorate of Primary Education of Kavala and the Union of Associations of Parents & Guardians of the Schools of the Municipality of Kavala as well as the Swedish Institute of Athens.
Four (4)
Demophelia, a non-profit municipal enterprise of Kavala, returns the benefits to the citizens of Kavala.
The participation price for each action is €2.00 and there is no profit for the Company, as can be seen in the following image
