An eco-friendly hotel, Palmyra Beach Hotel in collaboration with United Nations Global Sustainability Index Institute, was pleased to participates as an official ambassador in the Athenian Riviera in the context of the world action of the World Wellness Weekend in September 2021. A wellness weekend which in 120 countries inspires and encourages groups, communities and visitors to engage in creative and voluntary activities, cultivating it their personal development and well-being. The purpose of this event was to promote a number of innovative services of the hotel in the area of Wellness covered according to the world body World-Wellness Weekend and the 5 Pillars of Wellness: a) Sleep & Substitution b) Diet & Nutrition c) Vitality and Movement d) Calmness & amp; Consciousness and e) Sense Purpose and Solidarity.
More specifically, the following actions were organized, most of which continue to be available as services within our hotel to those staying but also to the local community:
In collaboration with the hotel's homogeneous (vegan) restaurant Crudo South, it was made methodology training for fresh food and beverage based participants on the principles of a pure vegetarian diet and homophagy as well as A rich Vegan Brunch was offered to the public.
The “Deep Tracing” method (deeptracing.gr) of the award-winning was presented for the first time artist Basil Derelis offered inside the hotel. This innovative method aims to improve concentration, reduce stress, enhance of creativity and empathy.
In collaboration with the children's book publishing house Phosphorus, an interactive event was organized storytelling of the fairy tale "The World of Pauses" - a World of Pausabilities from Phosphorus publications - for adults and children with the object of its development empathy in the daily lives of children. A series of educational fairy tales available to our little friends guests at the hotel bar.
As part of the 5th Pillar of Wellness for Purpose and Solidarity, our hotel organized a cleaning event of the public beach of Glyfada. In the effort We also included local voluntary organizations such as non-volunteers non-profit organization for the protection of the sea turtle Archelon as well as UNICEF Green Team volunteers. Young and old, wearing T-shirts and him suitable sanitary equipment, we cleaned the beach of Glyfada from garbage and plastics. The number of participants / volunteers was impressive.
At the same time, our hotel for the 3rd consecutive year became an assistant for the implementation environmental program at the Association for the Protection of the Sea Turtle "Archelon" adopting the 3rd turtle in a row, helping to speed up her recovery from wounds caused by human intervention. In addition, we organized action exploring and learning about the world of sea turtles, through navigation in the dimension center. The intense interest of the residents for a tour at the "Archelon" dissemination center, continues to this day and continues and makes it Top Glyfada area attraction on TripAdvisor.
In collaboration with Wellness Naturale which is based inside the hotel offering wellness services to our guests, two original actions were organized: a) Yoga “Reset by the Pool” - Yoga Nidra with guiding meditation by the pool and b) "Sunrise Glory" with modern Yoga practices on the beach sand.
Another original action was the interactive seminar on Riddles by Distinguished puzzle maker Michalis Toulouzas, during which the participants had the opportunity to explore some of the existing puzzles that offered by Waves Bar & Hotel restaurant for those looking for moments relaxation and for puzzle lovers. Throughout the event, a range of activities such as massage services were provided inside the hotel and the possibility for escapes thanks to the modern electric bicycles available to the public from the hotel. At the same time, there were points informing the public about weight loss programs(Weight Loss) that are offered by the Easyslim slimming center, which is also located inside hotel but also personal development tips (personal transformational coaching).
However, throughout the event, information was provided about guide unique Responsible Tourism Guide of the known "Road" periodicals available at the hotel reception but also for use of recyclable materials with emphasis on innovative reuse of cork within our hotel.
Finally, stubbornly optimistic and always next to our fellow man, we planned one musical journey with live music in the hotel area and next to it herbal garden for charity, where the proceeds were donated to the non-profit organization "SOS Children's Villages".
