Objective Action

The initiative aims to reduce V Group’s net climate footprint through the implementation of targeted greenhouse gas emissions offsetting actions.

Its objective is to contribute to global efforts to address climate change by offsetting Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, as well as emissions associated with its digital activities, while strengthening environmental responsibility and promoting sustainable operations.

Target Audience

The initiative is addressed to a broad range of stakeholders, including investors, clients, and partners who integrate environmental criteria into their decision-making, as well as institutional bodies that assess organizations’ contributions to climate action.

At the same time, it concerns the wider society, indirectly supporting clean energy and sustainable development projects.

Duration

Annual initiative, continuously implemented.

Description

V Group implements a comprehensive approach to managing its climate footprint, based on the systematic monitoring of greenhouse gas emissions and the implementation of targeted reduction and offsetting actions.

Within this framework, V Group offset its Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions through participation in the BAESA Hydroelectric Power Plant project, a certified renewable energy initiative that contributes to reducing reliance on carbon-intensive energy sources and promotes the generation of clean electricity.

At the same time, recognizing the importance of digital environmental footprint, V Group proceeded with 100% offsetting of emissions associated with the operation of its corporate websites through participation in the Sierra Leone Safe Water Project. This internationally certified initiative combines emissions reduction with improved access to safe drinking water for local communities.

Offsetting actions are implemented in collaboration with the internationally recognized organization SCB, through certified carbon credit mechanisms, ensuring that the corresponding emissions reductions are measurable, verifiable, and aligned with international standards of environmental integrity.

Through these initiatives, V Group combines emissions management with the support of sustainable development projects, strengthening its contribution to the global effort to combat climate change.
