Our strategic philosophy is "Creating Shared Value", i.e. the creation and measurement of the shared benefit between business, society and the environment.

With this reasoning in mind, we approach Sustainable Development, in absolute relation to our business model and its transformation needs, investing in integrated, innovative and high-quality services and products.

Our goal is the creation of a better working environment and mutually beneficial relationships, with economic development, environmental care and social welfare as axes.

Objective Action

At PPC, sustainable development is our strategic commitment, aligning seamlessly with the business model and transformation needs of the company. We have created a roadmap for transformation into a "Creating Shared Value" (CSV) model, placing at its core the recognition of the needs of stakeholders and society at large, fostering shared value among the Company, Society, and Environment.

Aiming to bring about positive changes in the broader ecosystem, DEI supports actions based on creative ideas that serve the common good. Through the DEI Corporate Responsibility program, our goal is to empower vulnerable social groups and contribute to environmental protection. We support the work of nonprofit organizations that share our vision for a better, sustainable future, and actively participate in educational, sports, and cultural activities for all.

The goal of our collaboration with WE4ALL is to address biodiversity loss and provide support to areas affected by devastating wildfires.

Target Audience

The educational sustainability awareness program "Green Future" is targeted towards primary school students.

The planting of 2,500 olive trees aimed to benefit the local community in Northern Evia, while the two tree-planting events were dedicated to the local communities of Varympompi and the Petranon community in the Municipality of Kozani, respectively.

Description

We4all is a global non-profit, environmental, and humanitarian organization focusing on environmental initiatives, education, and support for vulnerable communities. Its purpose aligns with DEI's sustainable development strategy, emphasizing actions with a positive impact on the environment and the creation of shared value among the Company, Society, and Environment.

After the devastating wildfires in Northern Evia and Varympompi, we decided it was time to take action. We initiated reforestation with 2,500 olive trees in Northern Evia to support farmers affected by the fire. Subsequently, we conducted tree-planting events in Varympompi and Kozani, with the voluntary participation of DEI employees.

Simultaneously, environmental education sessions were held in schools through the "Green Future" program. Children engaged with concepts such as the environment, climate change, recycling, and volunteerism, learning that the role of a responsible citizen is closely connected to environmental respect.

Benefits for Οrganization

PPC could not be absent from the significant collective and national effort for the reconstruction of the fire-stricken areas and the protection of the country's forest ecosystems after the devastating fires of 2021. Actively supporting this effort, PPC participated in the restoration of natural wealth both in the Northern Evia region and in Varympompi.

Such actions also contribute to addressing the consequences of climate change, which is the most significant challenge we face both as a company and as a society. For PPC, addressing the consequences of the climate crisis has become a top priority for the coming years.
