This new vessel, built from aluminium, represents another significant achievement for Spain’s shipbuilding industry. This specific material offers, among other advantages, a low weight that results in reduced fuel consumption, while simultaneously limiting the carbon footprint. Aluminium is a highly recyclable material, meaning that the construction components can be reused at the end of the vessel’s service life.
