The Municipality of Grevena is a municipality of the Region to Western Macedonia which is established in 2011 by merging the preexisting Ventziou municipalities of Grevena, Gorgiani, Irakleoton, Th. Ziakas, Kosmas Aetolian and communities of Avdellas, Dotsiko, Mesolouri, Perivoli, Samarina, Smixi, Filippaioi.

The 14th Panhellenic Mushroom Festival included:
Seminars of mushroom-eating and mushroom-cooking
Organized excursion to the forest
Exhibition of mushroom and other local products
Concerts
About 3,500 spectators visited the festival, exhibited their products around 40 local producers and there were guests from abroad (mainly Balkan countries).

The Municipality supported the organization that the Greek Mushroom Society has undertaken
Employees of the Cleaning Department, Technical Services, the Department of Green and Financial Departments.
Support το the local market for products based on the primary sector and, above all, the advantage of the rich Grevena nature. Encouraging many young people to find ways to fight unemployment without being pushed into immigration.
