Objective Action

As a company active in the field of aluminum architectural systems, through the program of free replacement of frames we proceed to donate frames to schools, child care clubs, hospitals and wherever else there is an immediate need for such interventions. Thus, we strengthen the building structures and improve the daily life of those who live in them.

It is mainly addressed to public bodies, non-profit organizations and charitable institutions

There is no time duration in the specific program, the goal is to be a continuous program.


Description

The company's academy aims, among other things, to carry out education and training programs for new and active aluminum manufacturers, with the design and implementation of a dynamic framework for developing their skills. As part of the academy's training program, students see the installation and construction of the frame in practice, most of the projects that fall under the free frame replacement program are done in collaboration with the academy. However, there may be programs made in consultation with a partner manufacturer, where either the manufacturer does the construction on a non-profit basis, or Alumil covers the cost. In both cases, the raw material (aluminum profile and components) comes from the company.

We receive the requests and after their evaluation we proceed with the replacement of frames. In 2021:

-we supported the action "Point of Love" of the Municipality of Thessaloniki (Municipality of Thessaloniki) and the Family & Friends Association KETHEA Ithaca (Family and Friends Association KETHEA Ithaca). We proceeded to donate doors and frames to a building in the center of Thessaloniki that will be used as a point of distribution of household goods to beneficiaries of independent living programs for dependent people

-we proceeded to donate aluminum frames to the facilities of the 2nd kindergarten in Kalochori, Thessaloniki

-we proceeded to donate aluminum frames to the facilities of the "Melissa" orphanage in Thessaloniki

- we strengthened the General Hospital "G. Gennimatas" in Thessaloniki, with separator systems, to create anterooms in the wards for the coronavirus

- we strengthened the Microbiological of AHEPA: a door and 2 windows

Impact on Society

The results were to reinforce building facilities of carriers with aluminum frames, thus making their spaces more functional and in some cases safer.



Initiative Location

So far, most of the projects have been done in Thessaloniki and the wider area. The aim is to carry out projects where there is a need.
