Sustainable Development is a strategic commitment of the Qualco group, which is fully reflected in its mission, with its activities and initiatives actively contributing to the basic principles of local sustainability and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Aiming to bring about change with a positive sign, and centered on people and their evolution, the Qualco Foundation supports initiatives, based on creative ideas and aimed at the common good, while being integrated into five central pillars: Innovation & Technology, Education & Social Welfare, Environmental Sustainability & Development, Culture & Sports, Solidarity & Emergency Support.
Innovation & Technology
Staying true to the identity and ethos of our group of companies, we encourage opportunities for innovation and entrepreneurship, promoting unique ideas that enhance sustainability and competitiveness. Priority is given to the creation of a support framework for endogenous investment with a social and environmental mark, to access to cutting-edge technology, and to the strengthening of local entrepreneurship.
Education & Social Welfare
The primary objective of the Qualco Foundation is to ensure equitable quality inclusive education, as well as to promote lifelong learning and social welfare opportunities for all by prioritizing disadvantaged groups within local communities.
In this context, we are committed to supporting Organizations and Programs that promote the creation and exchange of knowledge, as well as the development of new talents, both on an individual/personal and professional level, and with an effect on the consolidation of the principles of local sustainability. Our priority is training and education for the development of local human resources.
Environmental Sustainability & Development
The environment, society and economy play an important role in creating a sustainably structured ecosystem. The Qualco Foundation is committed to implementing environmentally sustainable practices, with the goal of contributing to the development of dynamic communities while enhancing the potential for future development. The aim of our actions is to highlight cities and local communities, which are efficient from an ecological point of view, while ensuring environmental improvement, energy efficiency, integrated management of water resources, and sustainable mobility of vulnerable groups and local populations. Recognizing that the actions of all of us have an impact on the macro-environment and sustainability of the planet, we are taking immediate action to address climate change and its impacts.
Culture & Sports
Our identity is undeniably based on our cultural heritage. By designing activities that reflect and influence values, beliefs and aspirations, we were able to highlight the critical role of the Qualco Foundation in building creative communities.
Our mission is to support projects that highlight cultural heritage, empower and raise international awareness of Greek modern art and promote sports in Greece, helping to preserve our evolving identity.
Solidarity & Support in Emergency Situations
The core principle of the Qualco Foundation revolves around being on the side of those who need us most. We provide aid and support in critical disasters and emergencies, while standing up to injustices and other challenges that act as a drag on local economic, social and environmental sustainable development. By incorporating the 10 Principles of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) into its strategies, actions and processes and creating a corporate culture governed by integrity, the Qualco Foundation is not only meeting its core responsibilities towards man and the planet, but it also sets the framework for the social role that modern businesses should now have – businesses with a solidarity and humanitarian orientation, contributing part of their economic power to society. Through thorough research, study and data collection, we are here to identify the situations that need our support by implementing actions with respect for people, human dignity and providing equal opportunities. With a vision of a future of sustainable communities, in which mutual support plays the leading role, we seek to achieve a better future for all, inclusive.
Qualco Foundation Programs & Initiatives:
1. Children's competition "Kallos: For me this is beauty" from the Museum of Cycladic Art 2021-2022
The Qualco Foundation supported the Cycladic Art Museum's children's competition, "Kallos: To me this is beauty". The competition was based on the eponymous exhibition "Kallos" of the museum, dealing with the concept of beauty, as it was defined in antiquity. This particular initiative brought together children aged 4 to 15 years (preschool, primary, secondary and two levels of education in special schools) to get to know the museum, with the aim of cultivating their creativity and imagination.
2. The Qualco Foundation supports the Benaki Museum
The Qualco Foundation joins forces with the Benaki Museum, strengthening the museum's mission to establish a multifaceted attraction of different cultures. Since culture plays a vital role in creating sustainable and resilient inclusive societies, this partnership includes Qualco Foundation's active support of the technological infrastructure of the Benaki Museum, contributing to the latter's transition to the new digital age.
3. Support the prevention of breast cancer with the Hellenic Society of Mammology
Recognizing that health is the most important good, the Qualco Foundation supports the efforts of the Hellenic Society of Mammology, to coordinate the entire spectrum of scientific actions of specialized breast doctors and surgeons, on a global scale. The mission of the Hellenic Society of Mammology is to provide a comprehensive and high-quality diagnosis, as well as to ensure the best possible treatment for women diagnosed with breast cancer.
4. Breast cancer awareness with the "Leap of Life"
Appreciating the undeniable value of prevention, and especially with regard to breast cancer, the Qualco Foundation actively supports the Panhellenic Association of Women with Breast Cancer "Alma Zois" and its efforts to raise awareness among all women, through mutual help, psychological support and rehabilitation of patients.

Looking forward to a new era of solidarity, leading to greener economies and more resilient societies, the Qualco Foundation systematically contributes to a multitude of social, cultural, environmental and business programs with responsibility, social vision & business ethics. In this context, it cooperates with NGOs and charitable organizations, with the aim of providing the best possible support to our fellow human beings and the wider society. In particular, the work of the Qualco Foundation is already considered multifaceted, with synergies both with the Museum of Cycladic Art and the Benaki Museum, as well as with the Hellenic Society of Mammology, the Panhellenic Association of Women with Breast Cancer "Alma Zois" to its credit.
