Objective Action

The aim of the volunteer group "Alumil Green Ambassadors" is to promote green practices, raise awareness and engage our colleagues and fellow human beings around environmental issues and encourage them to adopt ecological habits, thus significantly contributing to the creation of a sustainable environment and a green corporate culture.

Target Audience

The group addresses the company's employees in order to motivate them to adopt more sustainable practices in their daily lives and thus become "ambassadors" towards their friendly and family environment.

Duration

The group was formed in late 2020 and operations began in 2021 and continue to date.

Description

The group was formed after an employee suggested that there be a volunteer group that would undertake to motivate all employees to adopt even more green practices.

Some of the group's actions:

1) participation in tree plantings, seeking to raise people's awareness of issues related to our country's forest lands and highlighting the decisive role their preservation plays in the lives of all of us.

2) information campaigns and changes the habits of years (e.g. abolition of plastic cups), drastically reducing the energy footprint in the company's facilities.

3) educational days in cooperation with non-profit organizations

4) participation in clean-up actions in areas where there is extensive dumping of waste

5) Taking actions around the concept of "we throw nothing away". More specifically

     - Installation of bins for clothes. The clothes collected by Alumil Green Ambassadors are donated to organizations/structures to be reused

-Collection of books which are donated to schools or structures
