Volunteer Day

Fourlis Group Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility Department organizes actions aimed at promoting volunteerism, strengthening the culture of employee awareness οn the importance of giving back to fellow human beings and protecting the environment, as well as strengthening relationships between them.

All Group employees, in all countries of operation.

Throughout 2023.

In 2023, 11 volunteer actions were organized. Most of the actions were chosen and implemented by Group.

  Various collaborations with organizations/institutions, in the context of carrying out each action.       

More than 110 volunteer Group employees.

Greece, Bulgaria and Cyprus.

Some of the actions implemented are:

  • Voluntary blood donation in Greece and Cyprus.  
  • participation in the action BECOME A SELLER FOR 1 HOUR, helping to sell SCHEDIA magazine in Athens and Thessaloniki.
  • Participation in the action BOROUME IN THE STREET MARKET in collaboration with the BOROUME organization in Chalandri and Moschato for the collection of food, from the producers, which were offered to the Psarauteio Foundation and the Hope Lighthouse respectively.
  • Cooperation with the Earth Organization, through the BOROUME Organization, for the preparation of meals offered to the Holy Metropolis of Ilio, Kamatero and Petroupoli.
  • IKEA Ioannina employees visited the Pediatric Clinic of the University Hospital of Ioannina to offer entertainment and gifts to the hospitalized children.
  • The cleaning of Platia Ammos beach in Agia was carried out by IKEA employees in Larissa, in cooperation with the Municipality, and the cleaning of Angelochori beach by IKEA employees in Thessaloniki.
  • Group employees in Bulgaria participated in the renovation of the library of the FOR OUR CHILDREN foundation, proceeded to clean the Kraimorie beach in Burgas and took care of stray dogs.
  • All Group employees in all countries, collected, as every year, food, and necessities, for our fellow human beings who are in need.
