Antipollution is the leading Greek Company in the field of Port Reception Facilities, on Solid Ship-Generated Waste management. At present, we provide services on a 24/7 basis in all major Greek ports. Our company was founded in its present form by the descendants of the first people to operate in Piraeus Port, receiving and handling waste from ships in the 1940s. Ever since, we are on constant expansion course, acquiring modern equipment and providing our services in numerous Greek ports. However, Antipollution’s vantage lies on the experience acquired in past decades and deep knowledge of both environmental and maritime regulations. Putting constantly hard effort to improve the services rendered, the company, as an active member of Euroshore, the Association of Port Reception Facilities in Europe and beyond, is able to transfer the experience of fellow members into Greek market. Following closely all the new practices currently implemented in the European Union, according MARPOL Convention 79/78, Antipollution understands the importance attributed to recycling, valorization and alternative management of waste nowadays. Antipollution, among others, has been cerfified for the implementation of the Environmental Management System according to ISO 14001: 2004, and System of port reception facilities of the Solid Waste Management ships and cargo residues, according to ISO 16304: 2013. As part of the standard ISO 14001: 2004, our company has implemented an integrated Environmental Management System to ensure environmental protection, developing mechanisms for the proper management of waste and investing in the creation of modern infrastructure and of the latest technology equipment. H Antipollution possesses the required licences to collect, transport and treat of solid waste and cargo residues, according to the International Convention MARPOL 73/78. |
