Throughout our history, we have been offering high-quality consumer products that people love and trust every day, always taking into account the needs of consumers and the social-environmental impact of our action. The major construction investment of a new factory in Poland , Polipak, and a new research and development laboratory in 2021 with the aim of producing environmentally responsible products that will be created from a more energy efficient production process. We are committed to assessing and managing the environmental and social impacts of our products throughout their life cycle in order to ensure sustainable production in our operations, as well as those of our partners and suppliers, and to support responsible practices consumption. To this end, we are stepping up our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint, increase circularity in waste management, strengthen sustainable sourcing practices, while ensuring innovation, product quality and the safety of our customers.

  • In the environment, as the factory has been specially designed to improve its environmental footprint, both through the production process and through the final product.
  • In society, as it creates further jobs in Poland.
  • To consumers, as we will provide top quality, innovative and environmentally friendly products.

The project started in 2020 and was aimed to be completed by the end of 2021, while the new facilities are available to our employees from the first quarter of 2022.

The project aims to develop, optimize, validate and implement an innovative, at least on a European scale, high-performance automated and robotic technology for the production of three layers of high-quality waste bags. Equally important from a technological point of view will be the innovation process, including the automation and robotization of production at the new factory of Polipak Sp. Animal.

The quality effect is enhanced by the use of the product's knurl system, which visually thickens the product, making it more resistant to breaking, pulling, puncture and other damage. Thanks to this, the result of the project is a response to market demand in terms of price, functionality, usability and ecological values. As a result of the research process in the financial practice of Polipak Sp. Animal. patented technology will be introduced, unique at least on a European scale, for the production of bags with currently unavailable quality parameters.
The project is co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund under the Smart Development Operational Programme. The project implemented within the competition of the National Center for Research and Development: 1.1.1. Industrial research and development work carried out by "Fast Path" companies.

Poland

The applied technology allows the production of 3 layers of film and supports part of the regranulate by 70%, significantly strengthening the product, limiting the negative impact of plastics on the environment and increasing the durability parameters of the product. This investment of 40 million will be a great advantage to increase recycled plastic in our products, further increasing our consumers' environmental awareness.
In addition, the installation of photovoltaics in the new factory is being considered, so this will result in even lower energy consumption. The Sarantis Group was awarded, for its environmentally responsible practices, with the German eco-label Blue Angel. In particular, the Group's waste bag manufacturing plant in Poland, Polipak, was distinguished for the high level of recycled plastic used in its products. In particular, the Blue Angel eco-label confirms Polipak's ability to produce garbage bags that include at least 80% recycled plastic, through production methods that limit environmental pollutants.

The initiative highlights the organization as an ally in achieving the goals of sustainable development. The action will strengthen the Group's ability to create further economic value and maintain the high level of economic value distributed (which currently stands at 93%). has managed to comply with the following objectives:

  • Ensuring product quality and customer safety
