HUMAN CAST N.G.O.

The "ARTIST GALLERY" created by the HUMAN CAST, is the first online platform for diverse artists who are active in the Mass Media and Greek artistic productions. It is an online, free for all platform, that offers artists and producers with a direct means of approach.

Our goal is to promote respect and and understanding in the uniqueness of race and nationality, sexual orientation and racial identity, as well as the inclusion of people with disabilities, older people and people with different body types in Greece.

These social groups need representation in the mass media, as well as in artistic/entartainment productions. The MEDIA can play an integral role in communication and acceptance, as they can steer public opinion towards equality and social cohesion.

The platform is for artists that wish to make use of it, as well as production companies that can search for artists through it.

The platform first went online as a pilot in 2020 with 8 artists, and has been running smoothly since 2021. Now, in 2022, we have 23 artists and continue to grow.

The online platform is open, free for all, offering diverse artists a direct means of communication with producers. The ARTIST GALLERY platform is a digital gallery with pictures of artists, each leading to a personal page / profile.

The personal page/profile of each artist includes: A main photo and biography, photo album and personal video channel related to his artistic work, interviews, advertisements.

Artists' contact details are provided after contacting Human Cast to ensure a secure communication and collaboration framework, as well as to record collaborations that arise through the platform for research and statistics purposes.

There is also the possibility for producers to present their company as a diversity and equality workplace.

Responsible for the construction of the platform are Marilena Dania and Aikaterini Contarini. The qualities of the two developers are important for the style of the platform. Marilena Dania - psychologist focused on how the form of the artists' profiles is shaped, while Aikaterini Contarini - Art Director has undertaken the entire aesthetic result of the platform, combining ease of use with modern aesthetics.

Mary Sakellariou is a psychotherapist. She oversees the communication with artists and makes sure their singular needs are being met, while overseeing the operation.

There are three active volunteers in operations.

Our operation is carried out online, and there is no need for physical attendance. Beneficiaries can use it anywhere, as long as they have a computer, tablet or smartphone with access to the internet. (Responsive web design).

23 artists have signed up at the platform. Our first pilot year was 2020. In 2021 all artists used the platform to email their profile to casting companies, and they also shared it in the pass media. Several artists managed to participate in commercials, tv series, or interviews.
