Green Future Program | ||||
The aim of this initiative is to teach the next generation of active citizens to respect the environment and everything it entails, and to encourage them to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle. By educating children about the ecological crisis and explaining how simple daily actions contribute to it, children, who absorb knowledge quickly, immediately become more aware of their actions and daily life. Thus, not only do they become more sensitive, but they also begin to explore how they themselves can live in a more environmentally friendly way. They become the change they wish to see in the world and often inspire their families and peers to do the same. In this way, the conditions are created for the upbringing of a new generation of aware young people, capable of contributing with dignity and effectiveness to society and the business world, and becoming active citizens who will bring about positive change. |

Our program is designed to cater to students of all ages, starting from preschool children and covering the entire educational system, up to the end of secondary education. In parallel, our training has begun to include university students, using the appropriate tools. Unfortunately, we observe that many children do not have equal access to information about the ecological crisis and the environment, issues that directly affect their lives and future. Schools with students from vulnerable social groups or remote areas often lack the ability to participate in such programs, resulting in low awareness levels. To ensure that all future citizens of the world can benefit, our program visits remote areas and special schools, encouraging children to actively engage in environmentally friendly actions, while also enhancing their sense of emotional well-being and inclusion. |
We started working on this program in 2019, but in its' official version it has been running since 2020, marking 4 succesful years |
At We4all, we focus on children and believe in raising their awareness through environmental education. Our team members conduct daily sessions in schools of all levels through the "Green Future" program. Through an interactive presentation, tailored to each age group, we explain to the children the causes and impacts of the ecological crisis, as well as the significant effect that adopting more sustainable practices and habits can have. We help them understand that each individual can contribute to protecting our planet and slowing the pace of climate change. The presentation ends with an environmental game or a small planting activity in the schoolyard, through which children can understand concepts like the environment, climate change, recycling, and volunteering. They realize that respecting what surrounds them is not only easy but also an enjoyable activity. Our trainings encourage interaction and dialogue among students, ensuring everyone can express themselves freely, share their opinions, and ask questions about issues that concern them. Moreover, after the training, we create environmental groups at the schools, composed of students who are genuinely interested in the environment. These students will work daily to promote good practices for protecting and respecting both the natural and social environment, within the school and local community. Thus, the greatest innovation of our program is that, despite being primarily an effort to spread information and raise awareness, our education is just the first step. The ultimate goal is to inspire practical change and active participation. |
In this context, we collaborate with companies that wish to support this program and make it feasible by covering part of our operational expenses. Since we strive to respond to the requests of all schools without discrimination, we offer our training sessions completely free of charge. Additionally, we work with a large network of schools and educational staff who, having met our team and attended our programs, invite us back to their institutions, giving us the opportunity to expand the impact of our initiative. |

We4All's team is directly implicated in this action, as it is our members who create this program from A to Z : as part of our greater vision we aspired to contribute to the creation of a new generation that would be informed and sensitive to the issue of climate change and ready to take action and work tirelessly to help the planet: by collecting information, doing research and following the evolutions, always with a solid background provided by our team's experts we try to create and adapt our Green Future Program to a tailor made program based on the feedback and the challenges we have faced so far |
Our environmental trainings as part of our "Green Future" program have been running just the past year in areas all around Greece like Attica, Thiva, Crete, Corfu, Thessaloniki, Alexandroupoli etc. |
In the past 4 years, We4All has trained more than 250.000 children of all ages, everywhere in Greece but also in the world. Only in Greece, we have visited more than 483 schools in the past 2 years, while only in May 2024 we trained 1.281 children in schools. |
What is particularly encouraging is that we have observed that approximately 60% of these children continue to stay in touch with our team after completing our training programs, either through social media or by becoming volunteers. Often, children we have trained join us in the field alongside their families, supporting our work and contributing to our vision for a more sustainable future. This has a dual benefit for our organization: on the one hand, it helps us grow and engage more volunteers in our initiatives, thereby increasing our capacity. On the other hand, it brings us closer to achieving our goals and reassures us that our efforts can truly be a catalyst for positive change. |
