With a long-standing commitment to developing green buildings, we embrace a holistic approach aimed at promoting sustainable features during all phases of any property development, starting from the preliminary evaluation of the site parameters, prior to the selection of a specific project, following in all phases of design, construction and operation. Our buildings are certified with the highest global sustainability standards. We are proud to have pioneered the first LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified building in Greece, recognized by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). To date, we have been honored with 3 Platinum and 12 Gold awards.

Our sustainable practices include:

• Strategic use of daylighting through building design and material selection.
• Implementation of energy models for scenario analysis to optimize building design and equipment, while maintaining desired indoor conditions with minimal energy consumption.
• Utilization of air conditioning condensate and rainwater for irrigation, to reduce the use of potable water and prevent stormwater drainage overload. Installation of high efficient fixtures to reduce water and energy consumption.
• Design of outdoor spaces for biodiversity with pollinator gardens and a combination of planted areas, high reflective materials and thoughtful shading to reduce the urban heat island effect.
• Use of advanced control mechanisms. A combination of daylight, occupancy and movement sensors to control lighting, ventilation and air conditioning, together with BMS and EMS technologies, air flow sensors, thermostatic controls and the best sequence of operation achieves energy savings and occupant comfort.
• Use of environmental materials which at the same time protect occupant health and protect natural resources in a combination with Life Cycle Assessment reduces the carbon footprint both for embodied and operational carbon.

At DIMAND, we specialize in developing green, bioclimatic buildings certified to the highest global sustainability standards, with a particular focus on addressing climate change issues.
In December 2021, one of our pioneering projects is the first "green" certified parking structure in Greece, the Parking (Building C) at Piraeus Port Plaza 3. This parking space received the Parksmart Bronze Certification from the Green Business Certification, Inc. (GBCI), meeting the sustainability requirements of the world's unique evaluation system designed to promote sustainable mobility through smart parking structure design and operation.

In 2022 the Moxy Athens City, stands as Greece's first "green" hotel certified at LEED Gold level. With a modern design spanning 10,210 square meters, it is the first Moxy Hotels property by the Marriott group in Athens. The project features high efficient water fixtures. In addition, occupancy sensors and sensors at the operable windows control the air conditioning, to avoid wasting energy. Operable vertical façade louvers allow the building occupant different views and privacy. As Dimand has been awarded with the maintenance of the specific project, we can guarantee ongoing energy and water efficiency.
Furthermore in In 2022, the building that previously housed the newspaper "Eleftherotypia" has been awarded the LEED Gold certification. This iconic 15,170 square-meter building in Neos Kosmos was transformed into a cutting-edge, bioclimatic office space. The VALUE S.A. Office Building, an exquisite six-story structure with two basements and a roof within the urban fabric, features a green element dominating its surroundings. This comes courtesy of the new green roof of the basement, the cascading waterfall at the entrance, and the planters on the building's facades, creating a natural and pleasant environment for employees, reducing the urban heat island effect and providing biodiversity in the city of Athens.

In 2023, the Building A of the Syggrou Office Complex, now housing the insurance company Generali, obtained the highest sustainability certification, LEED Platinum. This iconic property has been transformed into a state-of-the-art, bioclimatic, and high-specification office space.
Main parameters of the design were the efficient use of energy, water, and other resources. To avoid pollution and waste and choosing materials with criteria to be toxic, sustainable and including recycled content
Indoor environmental quality was of high concern during both design and construction of the building, therefore it has been designed to deliver more than 30% additional fresh air into the regularly occupied areas, than required by regulations, including daylight and views and healthy materials. Clean air is obtained from the building roof, additionally filtered with G4 and F7 filters.
The green roof adds reduces the air intake temperature in summer, saving energy and avoiding the urban heat island effect.
The irrigation system uses rainwater and air-conditioning condensate, in addition Mediterranean plants which require less water, have been chosen. The green areas of the plot provide biodiversity and habitat to local fauna, which has a special provision for plants that attract bees.
The building features an innovative air conditioning system, with fan coils, thereby reducing the environmental impact of the refrigerants. The system uses for the first time in Europe the specific equipment that allows for evaporative cooling with water sprayed on the heat exchanger, to maximize energy efficiency in high summer temperatures. In order to avoid the use of potable water, the process relays on air conditioning condensate, which is gathered at the same time, from the interior of the building. A seven m3 tank provides for the storage of sufficient water.
Additionally In 2023, the Kaizen campus, now housing the Kaizen Gaming, obtained LEED Gold certification. The elliptical shape of the building creates an inner courtyard space, which allows for the gathering, movement and relaxation of the employees. In addition, green space extends over a very large part of the plot, embracing the building perimeter.
The shape of the building, the connection between outdoor and indoor areas, the bioclimatic characteristics, the choice of materials and the final image give it the character of a landmark.

DIMAND has been recognized as a LEED Proven Provider by the Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI). This organization is responsible for awarding the international LEED certification to "green" buildings and has declared DIMAND as a high-quality LEED Project Administrator (LEED Proven Provider). With this distinction, the company receives LEED certifications for its projects more efficiently. Companies that hold the "LEED Proven Provider" recognition have demonstrated their experience in managing high-level certifications with exceptional success.

The projects include employees´ requirements through a set of international standards and 30 years of experience in developing the certification requirements. The requirements of each specific project are assessed with a sustainability questionnaire, which is completed by the client prior to the start of design. Therefore it can be guaranteed that the final project  is fully harmonized with the needs of the work with respect to the environment and society.
