Products that are produced based on “Green Alloy” are available to customers.

Research and development procedures begun in 2010, while it was available at the market in 2011.

The Green Alloy product is an alloy derived exclusively from recycled aluminium scrap, resulting in a particularly low environmental footprint during the production process, compared to the production of a similar product from primary aluminium. Given that "Green Alloy" is made exclusively from scrap, its production is in line with ELVAL's goal to increase scrap use rather than primary aluminium consumption. ELVAL provides with materials which have been solely produced with green alloy. They are used in building construction as material for construction corners, window spacers and aluminium door panels. ELVAL COLOUR provides with green alloy materials for usage in building and construction sector as materials for rain gutters and their parts.

General characteristics of rain gutters with green alloy:

• High durability and resistance: green alloy’s unique qualities offer resistance to mechanical pressure (bending), exposure to bad weather and corrosive factors (oxidation).
• Watertightness: all parts are tight in between and are not affected by extreme temperature variation.
• Light weighting, flexibility.
• Easy and quick to install, thus cost efficient.
• Variety in colours and better aesthetic result versus the standard colours of copper and zinc gutters.
• Substantial building protection from the rain.

Rain gutters is a system which protects the building and the people from the water coming from the roof and the ice crystals in winter. Rain gutters system is crucial to the exterior of a building because it deals with large quantities of water in short regular periods of time. The materials’ quality is very important since after the system is installed and used it is quite difficult to monitor.

For “Green Alloy” development and production no cooperation has been initiated with external parties.

Green Alloy is exported to France, Spain, Bulgaria, Italy, Germany and Romania and it is also supplied to ELVAL's subsidiary, ELVAL COLOUR S.A., to be used in interior design and (Etalbond light & slim) projects and in Ydoral® painted coils that are used in rain gutter systems.
