Global Can Circularity Alliance

With a vision to achieve 100% recycling rates for Aluminium cans by 2050, Elval co-participates with leading producers of rolled aluminium, can producers and brands in a Global Alliance on Can Circularity

This initiative began in 2024 and continues to this day. 

GBCCA leverages on the combined expertise of a multi-stakeholder platform that provides:

1. Data-Driven Insights and Impactful Research through high-impact projects, including the development of global datasets on total recycling and can-to-can recycling rates.

2. Active Role in the Global Aluminium Value Chain, supporting sustainability goals on decarbonisation, recycling, and recycled content.

3. Unified Global Communication and Advocacy through coordinated communication, joint fact sheets, press releases, and participation in one key global event each year

4. Targeted Circularity Projects and Innovation Pilots in targeted national projects that address recycling challenges and opportunities, with tailored solutions to enhance circularity. 

5. Strategic Guidance on DRS and EPR Systems

6. Negotiation and Strategic Networking. International negotiation with industry and governments across the global circular economy landscape.
