Educational program "Empathy, Empowerment, Communication" - Patient's journey with respiratory diseases. Empowering the pulmonologist in the digital age".

    The educational program "Empathy, Empowerment, Communication" aims to improve pulmonologist - patient communication in the digital age. The main pillar of the program is the empowerment of the pulmonologist in the new digital requirements that our era highlights in terms of their extroversion and digital communication with patients.The program is an excellent and innovative initiative for the specialty of pulmonologists as it is the first and only program implemented that aims exclusively to empower pulmonologists in the digital age.

The creation of exceptional experiences for healthcare professionals and especially for the specialty of pulmonologists is a priority for Chiesi Hellas, as it is perfectly in line with the global transformation of the organization towards a more customer-centric culture.

   The creation of exceptional experiences for healthcare professionals and especially for the specialty of pulmonologists is a priority for Chiesi Hellas, as it is perfectly in line with the global transformation of the organization towards a more customer-centric culture.

The educational program "Empathy, Empowerment, Communication" aims to improve pulmonologist – patient communication in the digital age and complements a series of educational meetings that the program has started since 2023. It is the 5th in the series of Workshops initiated by the Hellenic Respiratory Society and sponsored by Chiesi Hellas. The first 4 Workshops were focused on the pillar of empathy and now the second phase of the training program focuses on pulmonologist – patient communication through digital options and online tools that could enhance the extroversion of pulmonologists and easier accessibility of patients to specialists like Pulmonologists.   The program continues to be an excellent and innovative initiative for the specialty of pulmonologists as it is the first and only program implemented that aims exclusively at empowering pulmonologists.

The idea of Chiesi Hellas was presented to the Hellenic Thoracic Society (EPE) which gladly accepted to include it in its educational activities and to appoint a special scientific team from the Board of Directors of EPE which now coordinates the actions.                 

   The educational program "Empathy, Empowerment, Communication" has been included in the educational activities of the Hellenic Thoracic Society. For the realization of the 5th program entitled "The journey of the patient with respiratory diseases. Empowering the Pulmonologist in the digital age" we had the valuable help of EPE, Krataion Consulting and Mediacube for the scientific content and presentation, the Heraklio Travel office for the organization and hospitality and the kind sponsorship of Chiesi Hellas.                   

The design and implementation of the Training program had the creative involvement of colleagues from the Customer Experience, Marketing, Field Force, Administration departments

The second phase of the training program took place with the 5th training workshop in Athens.

    In the specially designed website, www.hts.org.gr/empathy, 29 pulmonologists from all over southern Greece participated. Satisfaction indicators were excellent with a CSAT of 94,45. The analysis of the feedback we received from both the questionnaires and the F2F follow up calls that followed confirmed the enthusiasm and interest of the participants and led EPE and Chiesi Hellas to extend the program to 2024. With the completion of the program for 2024, we are in front of planning the next phase of the training program.                  

The program "Empathy, Empowerment, Communication" was an innovative action that differentiated Chiesi Hellas in the specialty of pulmonologists and confirmed its leading position in the therapeutic category of respiratory preparations, as it was accepted with great enthusiasm (CSAT 95,45). There has also been a positive impact internally in the organization as the action is fully in line with the organization's values of focusing on the patient and the healthcare professional, resulting in the feeling of satisfaction and pride of all colleagues who worked for this purpose. Finally, this action was a benchmark for Chiesi, as it supports the company's global transformation towards a more customer-centric culture.
