The water bottling company Dirfys SA has been active and developing evolutionarily in the drinking water market since 1975, re-entering the market dynamically in 2010. In the decade 2010-2020 the company developed significant sales in Greece and abroad in all sales channels, while in 2020 , despite the pandemic, achieved sales growth and a tripling of its profitability.
Dirfys is a company that, from its foundation until today, has consistently incorporated into its culture the principles of Corporate Social Responsibility, which it has reduced to a strategic priority for its sustainable operation.

Every business is a creation and "birth" of a society for it and must return to it added value.
Dirfys, as part of society, is inextricably linked to it. For its sustainability, it must, with the means at its disposal, contribute to the creation of a prosperous, quality and healthy society, which is why it consciously chooses to be part of actions that strengthen local societies and economies.
The aim of the implementation of multiple sponsorships is to cover immediate needs, but also to form effective and sustainable long-term social protection services, creating a "social safety net".

The Corporate Social Responsibility actions that Dirfys plans and implements are intended for people and, by extension, for society, the environment and the local economy. On the one hand, the direct beneficiaries are the organizers of the events, the athletes of the teams, the students of the schools and the participants in organizations and agencies.

At the same time, the company communicates the CSR program it has drawn up to the media and the consumer with the aim of informing, inspiring and also setting an example for every other company or individually, for every interested party. The professional communication of CSR actions demonstrates the way in which the company perceives its environmental and social responsibility.

From 2020 until today, the company systematically stands by initiatives that "fight" for people and the environment. Its main objective is to continue its active contribution and to strengthen it in times of crises and natural disasters.

Through various actions implemented by Dirfys, which fall under Corporate Responsibility practices, a two-way relationship is created with multiple benefits for all involved. The protection of the environment, the contribution to people, society, education and culture, are supreme values that the company respects and promotes with the ultimate goal of consolidating a healthier social environment.

In recent years, Dirfys has intensified its Corporate Social Responsibility actions by helping local communities by generously offering the most important good for life and the most precious gift of nature, water. It contributes steadily and systematically to actions aimed at protecting the environment, improving the standard of living of our fellow human beings, promoting the ideals of sports as well as developing culture.

The company has created a working group which manages the volume of requests for contribution to CSR actions. This process is crucial to ensure prompt response to requests, extensive evaluation, triage and a final decision to accept or reject the request. The working group is responsible for the preparation of the remunerative benefits and their implementation before, during and after the end of the action as well as for all communications between the management of the company and the respective organization that has addressed a request of interest.

The company's strategy is to respond positively to the majority of sponsorship requests from businesses, sports teams, organizations operating in Evia, which is the headquarters of Dirfis. Subsequently, as the company becomes the recipient of requests of nationwide interest, priority is given to accepting requests for CSR actions of a sporting nature and actions that contribute to the relief of vulnerable social groups and to the protection of the environment.

Among other things, the company purposefully, due to the nature of its product, seeks to connect its name with sports. By participating in CSR actions of a sporting nature, social interaction and cohesion is promoted and strengthened. Sport offers possibilities for forging environmental consciousness and raising awareness among citizens about issues related to sustainability. In addition, it contributes significantly to intercultural understanding and social integration. Sport is a constantly evolving environment that lends itself to act as a means of encouragement and inspiration for a better future for man and society.

It is known that social sensitivity and its expression through Corporate Social Responsibility cause positive feelings and impressions not only in the consumer public, but also in the employees, company executives and in the whole society. At the same time, CSR practices help each company strengthen its reputation and brand, improve the programs it implements, strengthen the ties between employees and management, and create prospects for new business partnerships.
