Collaboration "Next to you" with "Save your Hood" to protect the environment

The IASO Group with its integrated Corporate Social Responsibility program "next to you" proves in practice its continuous commitment to protecting the environment with less garbage for a better life.

The aim of the initiative is to build a relationship of trust both with the local community and with the wider society to raise awareness, inform and educate the public about environmental issues and specifically for a clean environment without garbage.

The health of the planet is closely linked to the health of citizens. The life of all of us depends on the natural environment and what it offers us in every possible way, which we protect and take care of. We must realize the dangers caused by environmental pollution that even affects the existence of humanity on our planet.

The #iasoteam started its work energetically, contributing to the goal of Save Your Hood!

In 2021, the following actions took place:

  • Action in Ekali! "By your side" with #iasoteam and Save Your Hood were in Ekali with 15 volunteers where they collected 3,500 lt of garbage!
  • Action in Thera Park! Young and old residents of the area joined the #iasoteam and 200 lt of waste were collected with 13 volunteers.
  • Participation in the Save Your Hood Coordinator's 1st Bootcamp in Rahes Fthiotida. IASO Group's "next to you" traveled to Rahes Fthiotida where the doctors of IASO General Clinic Mr. Nikitas Skliros, Director, Sotiris Balokas, Curator of the 2nd Pathology Clinic and Mr. Apostolos Hampipis, Curator of the 1st Orthopedic Clinic, were next to the participants to give basic first aid instructions for dealing with injuries that may occur. The training was completed with the free provision of backpacks with first aid kits (first aid kits) to accompany the teams in their every action and to protect what is most valuable to them, their health.
  • The Corporate Social Responsibility team of the IASO Group helped in its goal of collecting 500,000 liters of garbage on the occasion of World Environment Week, May 31-June 6, 2021. Through this support, 1,000 liters of garbage were collected in Galatsiou District with 17 volunteers.
