OTE GROUP

A better world without discrimination for all

The aim of the actions for Diversity, Equality and Inclusion is to promote equal opportunities, diversity and the fight against discrimination in the working environment.

Our actions are addressed to all OTE Group employees, regardless of gender, age, special needs, religion, abilities, origin, sexual orientation, membership in unions or political beliefs.

The action started in early 2021 and is ongoing.

True to our commitment to create a corporate culture that embraces diversity, equality and inclusion, in the period 2021-Q1 2022, we designed and implemented the following initiatives:

The Group has adopted a comprehensive Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Policy, which is addressed to all Group employees. For the OTE Group, diversity / diversity, equality and inclusion are a management concept and part of its corporate culture, which aims to contribute significantly to the Group's business success through recognition, appreciation, inclusion in the work environment and exploiting the individual diversity of its stakeholders (employees, shareholders, customers, suppliers). https://www.cosmote.gr/otegroup_company/about_us/otegroup/corporate_governance/compliance_management_system/compliance_policies/OTEGroup_DiversityEquityAndInclusionPolicy_gr.pdf In the context of the D, I & S Policy, it was defined that there should be sufficient representation by gender at a rate of at least 30% of all senior and top managers of the Company, with implementation within the next three (3) years and at least 25 % of all members of the Board of Directors. We planned and implemented a live event, on the theme of Diversity and Inclusion, with the participation of the Chief Human Resources of the OTE Group, Mrs. Elena Papadopoulou and honored guests. The event aimed to raise awareness and awaken employees to diversity and equality in the work environment. The moderator of the discussion, which was broadcast live from the COSMOTE TV studio to all employees, was journalist A. Schroiter.

An Internal Communication Campaign was carried out, with the aim of familiarizing and integrating the Diversity Policy into the corporate culture, as well as announcing actions that will strengthen it even more. From the beginning of 2022, the gradual training of employees around the pillars and benefits of D, E&I, as well as the practices of the OTE Group, began.

In addition, from the beginning of 2022, two new questions have been added to the questionnaire of employee satisfaction surveys, which are carried out throughout the Group 2 times a year, in order to receive relevant feedback from employees. The two questions are as follows:

In our company, everyone has the same opportunities for recruitment and career development, regardless of:

  • gender and gender identity,
  • sexual orientation
  • physical and mental abilities,
  • nationality, social and national origin,
  • political opinion, religion and belief.

Our company provides a safe and supportive work environment for everyone - we do not tolerate inappropriate behavior or comments related to:

  • the age,
  • gender and gender identity,
  • sexual orientation,
  • physical and mental abilities,
  • nationality,
  • social and national origin,
  • political opinion, religion and beliefs.

For the next period of time we are planning a Mentoring program for the empowerment of women in the OTE Group.

Achieving sustainable change and improvement for the company and its employees requires the full participation and personal commitment of all parties to the Group Policy on Diversity, Equality and Inclusion.

In order to increase the awareness and knowledge of the employees regarding the subject of diversity, we implemented a simple and short quiz, which was conducted via the company Intranet. The entries surpassed all previous ones. 2,155 employees participated and answered that they are familiar with the principles and concepts of diversity, equality and inclusion


Our actions are aligned with the business goals and strategies of the OTE Group with the aim of integrating diversity into the Group's business model and daily activities.

Incorporating diversity is a key enabler for innovation and creativity, while increasing employee satisfaction, facilitating cross-team collaboration, promoting fairness and meritocracy, and ultimately, leading to better overall results.

Our goal is to become as diverse as our customers. Only in this way will we be able to understand and respond successfully to their real needs.

We review and strengthen our purpose, as well as our guiding principles, amid business and societal changes such as global demographic change, globalization and digitization. We are also inspired by the value of inclusion, which gives our cause a holistic and socially sensitive non-discriminatory approach, building on our long-standing guiding principle: "I behave with respect and integrity".

We are committed, not because we have to but because we want to, to use our strength to become better, more qualitative, more efficient so that we are the first choice for our customer and increase the satisfaction for our employees. Our vision is an open, inclusive and fair society, which will not exclude anyone, neither in the digital nor in the physical world.
