Description

From 2020 and onwards, the Municipality of Iraklio Attikis grants the families that bring their first child into the world a onetime allowance of 1000 euros.

It was the first Municipality in Greece that conceived and implemented this initiative. Since then, other cities have adopted the idea, which recently was included in the new Codex of Cities.
